I believe that I have come to a point in my life where I may have possibly figured out what I truly want. It’s both scary and relieving.
As I grow and further my career in photography, I realize what I want from it and where I hope to go with it. That being said, I have started this website.
Yes, this is a site not meant for photography only, but that is because I aspire to write alongside. I did not realize how much I enjoyed writing and working with my artistic voice until I started writing articles to accompany my photography. Interviewing musicians and transforming their words into an article brings me such joy. I want to tell the story of musicians. I want to record their experiences, their life, and their aspirations. I want to capture their performances and create beautiful works of art from my camera.
I could take the easy way out and settle down at a 9-5 desk job with my degree, but I want so much more than that. I want to explore. I want to see the world and tell people’s stories. I want to make a name for myself.
I hope that this website will help me on that path. I want to focus this site on my writing works and my experiences as a concert photographer. I will also obviously, be candid (hence the name). I want to express myself through photos and words.
My biggest dream is to be able to shoot musicians and cover their shows for this very site. I don’t want to have to go through another outlet. I want bands, publicists, record labels, and agents to want ME to shoot for them. I want to have enough exposure to be able to ask for a photo pass at a music festival for my own website and be granted it, no questions asked.
Until then, here is where I lay in wait. I look forward to sharing my life with you.
